MOCA Red Heel Tote Bag
An original red papercut high heel by Dr Tianli Zu, shaped by the Mandarin homophone linking the words for shoe and harmony.
Full description
This tote features an original red high heel by Chinese Australian artist Dr Tianli Zu, rendered through the visual language of Chinese papercutting. The artwork sits beside MOCA's bilingual identity on the front, with the museum's compact logo on the reverse.
The shoe carries a Mandarin wordplay. Xié, the word for shoe, sounds the same as xié, the word for harmony, so the image links an everyday object with the idea of living in harmony.
Each bag is made from 90% recycled polyester and 10% polyester, using recycled material equivalent to 12 plastic bottles.
Every purchase supports MOCA's exhibitions, programs and community work.
